Miramar Cove, a 125-acre walkable mini-city at Miramar Parkway and Red Road, was featured by the Miramar News as Sunbeam Development Corporation, led by CEO Andrew Ansin, broke ground alongside Mayor Wayne M. Messam. Designed by architecture firm Cooper Carry as a 15-minute community, this new Miramar development is projected to house approximately 8,000 residents upon its fall 2028 completion.
As the Miramar News reports, the site, originally purchased by Ansin’s grandfather about 70 years ago for $100 per acre, will feature market-rate apartments alongside reserved workforce housing, paired with restaurant concepts, cafes, boutiques, a hotel, and multi-family residential options. The focal point is a private beach club centered on a 5.5-acre translucent Blue Mar Basin, featuring a synchronized musical fountain show and connected pedestrian promenades.
The development represents a milestone for Sunbeam Development Corporation following its development of the adjacent Miramar Park of Commerce. The company is also relocating its WSVN-7 headquarters directly across the street from the Miramar Cove site.
